Outstanding company. I was able to get an appointment for a technician to come to our house within 3 hours of my call! On top of that there was no charge because the problem was very minor. Thank you Aleco Electric
Our technician Al was excellent. He diagnosed our problem, explained his recommendation in easy to understand terms, and helped us set up the repair. He was honest and candid. We are very pleased with Aleco!
I had a very disappointing experience. I called this company to replace several burned-out fluorescent bulbs in my kitchen. The electrician took a quick look in the ceiling and immediately told me the lights needed to be completely replaced because these fixtures are “no longer used” and removing them supposedly causes cancer. Without inspecting the wiring, checking the fixtures, or discussing simpler options like replacing the bulbs or ballast, he provided a quote of $1,716 to replace four recessed lights. The estimate itself was also extremely vague — only a couple of sentences with no breakdown of labor, materials, or explanation of the work being performed. I later learned that fluorescent fixtures can typically be repaired or retrofitted, so it was concerning that no troubleshooting or alternatives were offered before recommending a full replacement at such a high cost. I would have appreciated a more thorough evaluation and a transparent estimate before being quoted such an expensive solution.
The service was amazing! I called let them know I may need a wiring job done. They came out earlier than my appointment. Looked and immediately figured out the issue. They got it fixed and save me money 👌🏾
Our Nest doorbell camera suddenly stopped working after a PG&E outage. I had hired an independent handyman who said he was very experienced with Nest products. He was not. I contacted Aleco and a very nice and competent person came the next day and assessed our situation. He concluded that the wiring in our old house was the culprit and sent someone the next day to rewire the doorbell. The installer was very nice, competent and cleaned up after his work- which I appreciated. Everything works great now. Unfortunately, the first guy mislead me to buy a new transformer and a new doorbell camera which I didn’t need.
