I Googled electricians in Clayton and this company came up. In speaking with the lady who answered the phone, I was told their rates were $105 per hour and trouble shooting would be time and materials. I wanted a switch put on my garbage disposal, and some trouble shooting done on an outdoor circuit and wiring problem in my pool house. The owner came out with a journeyman and I was immediately impressed as he suggested a different solution to the garbage disposal problem that excluded his services, but was a better solution! So far so good....then they went up and quickly fixed the pool house and outdoor circuit. Not sure how long they were here in total but It was definitely less than an hour and a half (my wife and I didn't watch the clock but recreated a time frame less than that). They installed a new outdoor enclosure box that was probably $20 at the most. Every step of the way they were extremely friendly and knowledgeable....so why am I rating them 2 stars???? He hands me an invoice and says $255. I pay them and look at the detail (after they left) and there is no detail. No accounting for time, parts, nothing except a $7 credit card fee which makes no sense as I gave him a check? As I try to recreate what it should have been is generously an hour and a half plus the box I mentioned above or $157.50 plus $20 for a total of $177.50. Left me feeling played......
I should have known better than use a company that charges by the hour. The person they sent over had no idea what they were doing and probably had no license. After 2 phone conversations I told him to leave. I got a phone call from the owner telling me I owed him $150.00. I said for what, he didn't do anything. He said I charge by the hour. I paid him but never again will I use a company that charges by the hour. A professional company comes out, inspects and gives you a written quote. This is not a professional company. Beware.
I have worked with Ron and his team since we moved into our house in Danville, in 2010. He has been very straightforward with us and delivered on what we need, with what I characterize as reasonable rates for such a skilled electrician. He treats his assistants well too. A good sign that he wants to train future electricians at his skill level. He deserves his 5 stars!
Awful, one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any electric company ever. Just miserable. I recommend literally anyone else, even my drunken uncle with a hammer and a screw driver would be more professional.
Ron did a great job and was super efficient. Worked within our contractor's time frame!
