I recently upgraded the electric on my entire 1938 home and garage and I am SO GLAD I chose Berkeley Electric! The entire process was smooth, and my cats and I were able to stay in the home durning the work. As they are a complete service, they finished the walls around all the new outlets and switches, so all I had to do after was paint. The highlight of my service had to be the doorbell. I loved my old doorbell, but it had old wiring, and had broken. Berkeley Electric not only fixed it, they went above and beyond, as they got it to light up! They were finished in five days total, which was very impressive given the job. I ran power out to my garage for future projects, so they had to make a trench in the backyard out to the garage. They filled the cement in to match my previous concrete, which looks great. I added recessed lighting in my living room and front entry, which has made a huge difference! It can also be dimmed-which is really nice. I upgraded my bathroom fan, and the new fan senses humidity and comes on, which feels like the future has arrived at my nearly hundred year old house-without losing any of the charm in the process! I can't recommend Berkeley Electric enough. They were wonderful!
Berkeley Electric did a total rewiring of my 98 year old home. The work was done quickly and correctly, the house was left clean- no problems at all. Everyone I spoke with at the company was patient, polite an helpful. Work was completed a little ahead of schedule, and there were no surprises on the final bill.
I selected Berkeley Electric back in 2020 to do a whole home rewire (including removal of knob and tube) and an amperage upgrade, and I feel so lucky to have found them. Berkeley Electric did an impeccable job with the rewire, including helping me select outlet placement, and since then the electrical system has stood the test of time excellently, even through a bathroom remodel and the additional of several new appliances (sump pump, disposal, electric stove, etc.). Zalman always takes time to educate on how electrical systems work, which I appreciate deeply. I want to take good care of my home, and I've learned so much talking with him. Berkeley Electric is a great choice not only for a re-wire, but for everything that will come up during the "life" of your home. 5 stars and a grateful thumbs up!
Berkeley Electric replaced the old/hazardous wiring in my 100 yr old house and installed an updated electrical panel. The team were efficient, thorough and worked together really well. They answered my questions and were friendly & courteous. They also cleaned up at the end of each work day. I highly recommend them!
These guys are the knob and tube wiring replacement experts. It's all they do. Excellent work, excellent price. It's a big job and kind of messy but they do a great job cleaning up, although my house cleaner took it from there.
