So glad I was referred to Boyes. There is a common issue in our development, which I only learned through a FB thread, which explained why my car was no longer charging!!! I followed the recommendation, called, and had it fixed the next day. The electrician was super easy to work with, he knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it, and he did it right then and there! I couldn't be happier and will continue to recommend them to others!
Boyes provided a seamless experience. Had them install an outlet inside my traditional wood fireplace box in order to install an electrical fireplace insert. They were responsive, professional, polite and timely. Passed City inspection as well. One of the most professionally managed processes I've experienced with a contractor in quite a long time - from quote, to scheduling, to showing up when promised, to permit arrangements, to billing.
Boyes had done an amazing job installing 10 light fixtures, adding new jumper cables and outlets all with a smile and good consultative approach.
Boyes Electric has been diligently working on replacing the knob and tube wiring for the past 2 weeks in our Victorian home, and they have about 2 more weeks to go. They've brought 3 sub panels inside in our 3 units, added a bunch of new outlets, switches, and overhead lights, along with new circuits for dish washers and garbage disposals. Our place is getting a huge electrical upgrade, and Boyes is doing a great job! We met with probably 6 different electrical contractors and settled on Boyes after much due diligence, and we have been very happy with that decision. Their team came in every day, worked diligently, and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves every day. Quotes were comprehensive, well laid out, and easy to understand how they priced things. They send appointment reminders before each visit every day letting you know when will arrive. Very impressed with their work, prompt communication and responses to my questions, and how they planned the project. And their prices are competitive to boot. I would recommend Boyes to anyone in the Oakland / Berkeley area who has a similar job or any electrical work they are looking to undertake. Thank you!
