The microwave in our JennAir built-in microwave/oven combination stopped working, so we contacted JennAir for a repair referral. They recommended Electric Express Appliance Repair. Electric Express charges a $175 diagnostic fee just to come out and identify the problem. The technician spent about 10 minutes checking the breakers (which we had already done), removed a few screws, looked at his computer, and concluded that the power board needed to be replaced. He then told us that the power board for our model was no longer available. It appeared that he didn't pull the unit out from the wall or inspect the electrical control panels. We had experienced a similar issue in the past that turned out to be a loose power plug, so I specifically asked if he had checked that. He said he would need to return with a second technician to pull out the microwave/oven, at an additional cost of $275–$350. Fast forward: Two weeks later, we contacted a different appliance repair company. Their technician pulled the unit out, opened the panels, and quickly identified the problem as a blown fuse and not the power board. Go figure! Since another company was able to identify and fix the actual problem, I cannot recommend Electric Express Appliance Repair considering that their assessment of the problem was totally incorrect. I'm disappointed in JennAir for not vetting out the repair companies that they contract with. I chose JennAir because of its reputation for quality, and I expected that same standard to extend to the repair companies they recommend.

It has been a month now and my washing machine is still not repaired. This company has done nothing to expedite the delivery of needed parts, and today the scheduled repair was cancelled due to repair person injury inconveniencing my work schedule further and frustrating my live in tenants who depend on having a working washing maching. The repair person seems great, but the company is lousy. You may be better off not getting a warranty and just paying a local repair person and getting the job complete sooner. It may cost more but you will be inconvenienced less.

The 1.9-star rating is generous. We were referred here by Whirlpool for a dishwasher repair, and it has been a disaster from the start. First, they bumped our initial appointment by three days. Then, after the technician identified the needed part, the communication completely died. It has been over a week with zero updates. Every time I call, I’m told they "need to check with the ordering department" for an ETA, yet they never follow up. It’s clear they have no respect for their customers' time. Only Whirlpool (with a failing unit in month 6 of its lifetime) would partner with a company this disorganized to service a unit that failed after only five months.

Despite the numerous negative reviews concerning this company, my personal experience has been exceptionally positive. Gerry, the technician who assisted me on two separate occasions with my Whirlpool stackable washer, provided service that was truly above and beyond my expectations. He was a pleasure to interact with, and I have absolutely no complaints regarding his assistance. Please continue your excellent work, and I extend my sincere gratitude for your help in repairing my washer and dryer.

If you have the option to use another company, do it. It took them three visits to my home to “fix” my washer. They resolved one issue and caused another — now it leaks through my wall into the staircase and downstairs bathroom. When I asked them to send another technician to review the work, they refused. Their excuse? The technician claimed he ran a full cycle and found no issues. On the day he completed the work, he left without walking me through anything. I was in a meeting, and he just left. When I submitted my initial complaint, he lied and said I had a handyman working on the unit while he was there. That’s completely false. I’ve never had a handyman work on the washer. My brother stopped by briefly to drop off items and wasn’t anywhere near the washer. I told them this, and they doubled down, saying the technician completed the service and someone else must have caused the issue. I called on 9/29/25 at 10am and asked to speak with the manager, Raya. They said she’d call me. Instead, a rep called at 11:30am saying Raya would call by the end of the day. I had to follow up again at 4:30pm, waited on hold for 20 minutes, and was told she’d call me the next morning. She finally did — on 9/30/25 — just to say they wouldn’t send another technician and there was nothing they could do. I asked her to send that in writing so I could contact the manufacturer. She never did. I sent an email outlining our conversation and asked her to confirm. Her response? She twisted my words and claimed I acknowledged my brother worked on the unit. Again — he did not. I replied to clarify, and said that if she didn’t respond, I’d take that as agreement that he didn’t work on it and that they refused to send another technician. No response, of course. Bottom line: they lied, deflected blame, and provided terrible customer service.
