Got Watts?

[Cross-posted from Yelp] We've been live with our solar and battery system for about 4 months now, and we are very happy with the system Got Watts put together for us. We got quotes from 6 different places, and while Got Watts was not the cheapest quote, we were confident they would get the job done with the highest quality install. They were also able to include our panel upgrade in the work. We appreciated that they are able to handle all the paperwork, appointments, permits, and reviews - there's a lot to do! Each team member we worked with along the way were friendly, helpful, and always willing to answer questions. Jarrett in Sales helped us understand solar and battery basics, and created several proposals to help us decide the best system for us. Danny and his team did all the electricity and wiring work in our home, and we were appreciative they took time and care to keep things neat and clean, especially since the access to the attic space was in our daughter's room. John and Steve installed our panels, and Mark did our final day install and walkthrough. Everyone was great!

Got Watts? was excellent. I got quotes from 5 different solar companies and Got Watts? offered me the best value in terms of price, equipment, installation flexibility, and overall customer service. I recommend them to anyone who it thinking about getting solar or batteries. I will likely use them in the future if I need any general electrical work done at my house also. The guys in the office that started off the process, Dan and Anthony did a great job of getting me set up with exactly what I needed, answered my questions thoroughly, and offered recommendations based on what I thought that I wanted. The install team of Danny and Telmo were awesome too. I did not hesitate if I had to step away for a few hours during the install and realistically I did not need to be there for any of it. Their experience shows. I did not interact with the rooftop guys Jose and Jason much, but from what I saw from the ground, their installation is excellent. It all passed inspection on the first try and Marc took care of everything with the county inspector. I am an incredibly satisfied customer and if you are thinking about getting solar, you should at least get an estimate from Got Watts?

They sold us a solar system in 2020, and initially the service was friendly, prompted and good. However, the system itself was problematic. They sold us a Generac system with Solara panels. Unfortunately, the system never generated anything close to what was advertised. We had constant PVLink errors, which would cut output greatly until we noticed, and would require service. They'd come out and "fix" things, but this would only last a few months. After a few years of this, I was told they that were no longer supporting Generac, and I had to talk to them directly. As context, they told me the system would generate 13,000 kwh. The first full year it did 10,400 kwh, and by 2025, this had fallen to just above 6300 kwh. This resulted in massive "true-up" bills every October. I eventually found another company, and was told that the panels themselves were bad. These were replaced, and after this, my system started generating THREE TIMES what it had been before. So while as others have said, they are pleasant, and easy to work with, don't expect the system to work as advertised, or for them to provide good support.

I had an excellent experience with this company. I picked them since unlike other solar installers, they also do HVAC and all around electrical work. So this is a company that would last. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident from start to finish and did an outstanding job 100%. Jarrett, my initial point of contact, was prompt in providing a quote, and took time to explain it even past the regular working hours. Anthony, Did the site visit and assessment was patient and looked into documenting the current site conditions to make sure there are no surprises with install. The office group of Lindsay, Jennifer and Mallory was accommodating even when I added an EV charger to the scope in the middle of the project, without adding to the timeline for the project. The electrical crew, Daniel, Joe and Waylon not only completed the work flawlessly but also took the time to identify and fix an unrelated issue in my house that I never knew, and made things right. A separate rooftop crew installed my panels (Jose, John, Jason, Kevin, Isaac and Steven) in half the day, even took time to do their exercise as a group for safety. Lastly, the knowledgeable Marc who did the Inspection and Commissioning was very patient with my questions and I felt as ease since Got Watts as a group definitely know their stuff. I would definitely call them again for future projects in my house.

Got Watts was great to deal with as they installed a whole house fan to replace a prior unit that had failed. Once I accepted their bid, they came out next day for the installation. In the process of that work, they cleaned up some work that was improperly done by prior contractors which had actually caused the prior fan to burn out and further was a safety hazard. All is working perfectly now, and I am very pleased. Highly recommended.
