I highly recommend O’Connor & Sons Electric. Tom O’Connor is deeply knowledgeable, efficient, and extremely good at troubleshooting. During my whole-house remodel, he identified dangerous electrical issues that my contractor had introduced, including problems affecting the smoke and CO alarms. He quickly diagnosed the source of the problems, corrected the wiring and receptacles, and helped make the house safe again. His work was thorough, precise, and clearly grounded in real expertise. Tom is now also helping me with a beautiful new interior and exterior lighting plan, as well as whole-house surge protection for major systems and appliances, including my Powerwall and EV charger. Tom helped me select the exterior fixtures, and Jesse quickly and efficiently installed new motion-sensitive exterior lights. Jesse was friendly, helpful, and did a great job explaining the work. Tom is insightful, professional, and worth every penny. I’m very grateful for their work and for the peace of mind that comes with knowing the job is being done right.
Tom returned for the second part of the job. He always brings the right materials and just enough to get the job done correctly. He has a good estimation of distance and materials needed. He is very knowledgable and doesn't waste any time.
I have worked in the construction industry for over 40 years and O'Connor and Sons Electric is the most knowledgeable and competent electricians I have ever worked. Amazing problem solving skills, they work fast and are honest as days are long. They show up when they say they will and do what they say are going to do. They don't avoid getting permits with a city because they know they will always pass an inspection. You get what you pay so if you choose to use a less expensive contractor, it may cost you more in the long run.
Tom is prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. He resolved an issue with our Tesla charging outlet quickly and at very reasonable price. I have saved his contact information in case we ever need another electrical work done. Highly recommended.
When dealing with electrical issues, it all (admittedly) flies over my head so I’m so grateful to have a go-to electrical guy in Tom! He’s a true expert - he takes the time to truly understand what the problem or goal is by obtaining all necessary information from you so he can then present options on next steps! He goes out of his way to ensure you are not only involved in the process, but that you understand the work too. On more than one occasion, he’s explained complex issues to me in a way I can understand (while off-the-clock) and provided multiple examples of small issues that can lead to larger ones down the road (which is always good information to have!) He picks up the first time you call, keeping in contact constantly through any jobs, and he’s a straight shooter when it comes to the scope of the work, pricing, and outcomes. It’s a family business so I love being able to support a man who knows his craft and cares about doing right by the work and his customers!
