Cotfort Residential Remodeling

I recently completed major structural work on my home with Cotfort and I’m very satisfied with the outcome. The project involved removing a load-bearing wall and create an open-concept living and kitchen space, along with reinforcing the foundation to support the new layout. From the very beginning, Umid and his team were professional, transparent, and extremely detail-oriented. Structural work can be stressful because it affects the integrity of the entire house, but they explained every step clearly from engineering plans and permits , inspections which gave me complete confidence throughout the process. The beam installation was precise, the structural reinforcements were solid, and everything was done according to code. They kept the site clean, stayed on schedule, and communicated consistently about progress and next steps. What impressed me most was their problem-solving ability. When unexpected structural challenges came up they handled them calmly and efficiently without cutting corners. If you’re considering structural renovations and want a team that is reliable, and truly cares about the outcome, I highly recommend Umid’s team. I would absolutely work with them again for future projects.

I had a very positive experience with Cotfort. Everyone who worked on my kitchen remodel was professional, knowledgeable, and with attention to detail. Madina, the designer, helped me shop for cabinets, fixtures, hardware, and flooring. Thanks to her vision I have a beautiful quartzite waterfall island and counters. Madina and Lucia (from Marblus) selected the quartzite slabs themselves so that the patterns and veins met at the seams. Beautiful! All the plumbing and electrical work was brought up to code. Tarlan did most of the heavy work, and I am very grateful for his expertise and "can do" attitude. Javan the licensed electrician did everything I asked for and to perfection. Attitude is everything, and this company was a joy to work with. They do not cut corners. They are honest trustworthy folks. Thank You Umid and your awesome team!

Working with Cotfort to remodel our three bathrooms was a great experience. Umid is highly knowledgeable — from the start, he explained what was possible and what wasn’t, helped us stay within budget, answered all my questions and concerns, and offered thoughtful design advice. Everything went smoothly, and all the workers were professional and easy to work with. Since the house is old, a few issues came up, but Umid always responded quickly and patiently, which made the whole process much easier for us. We truly enjoy our new bathrooms — modern, clean, and beautiful — and the project went so smoothly that it even makes me want to remodel more areas of the house. We engaged Cotfort for a medium size project to completely remodel our kitchen and one bathroom, and to repaint the house interior. We also got bids from 3-4 other contractors but went with Cotfort because we found Umid to be the most realistic and reasonable in terms of budget and timelines, and also because he was the most responsive. Based on our experience, we would highly recommend Cotfort based on: They set clear expectations in terms of scope, time and price and did not spring any surprises on us. Flexible. When there was a change in scope (we realized we wanted to add something) they either let us know quickly its impact on cost and time, or if it was very minor they absorbed it. High quality of work. In addition, Umid was very open to addressing all touch ups, no matter how minor or how late we identified them. Courteous, trustworthy, responsive and professional. Umid and the team were the kind of people we felt comfortable leaving alone in our home while we were at work. As a result there was minimal disruption to our routine. Looked out for the customer’s interests when dealing with vendors. In spite of having long standing relationships with vendors, Umid and Madina were very proactive and aggressive about protecting our interests in all interactions (whether it was price negotiation or ensuring timely delivery). Based on this positive experience (our kitchen looks beautiful), we would definitely engage Cotfort again for future remod / construction projects.

After 15 years in our Condo we decided to upgrade our master bathroom last year. We spent almost a full year getting different quotes from referrals, but they were either frightfully expensive or we were just ghosted by the contractors. We finally decided to go on Yelp to see what we could find and Cotfort popped up with some very good reviews. We initially contacted Umid in September 2024, and he was very quick to respond and meet with us onsite. He spent over an hour with us the first visit going over everything and answering our many questions (this was our 1st major renovation), and then about 4 days later he produced a quote for the labor which was very reasonable. We decided to move forward, but our HOA has very restrictive requirements so it took almost 3 months to work through that. Throughout that entire process, Umid and the Cotfort team were in contact with us regularly, answering our additional questions very quickly, guiding us, and doing all they could as a business to meet the HOA's needs. We finally got our project started on January 4, 2025 and the Cotfort team did not disappoint! The demo was completed in almost 1 day, and they were extremely efficient and professional. Working out of a condominium made this even harder, but they were able to keep the house incredibly clean, even with all the debris they had to bring down 3 stories. The remainder of the remodel went very soothly, with Umid's team checking in with us each step of the way to make sure we were happy with the results. Their team was also heavily focused on the details, making sure everything was perfect before leaving for the day. In summary, Umid and the Cotfort team did an amazing job on my remodel and I could not be happier with the result! They partnered with us every step of the way, were patient throughout the entire project, and delivered exceptional results as masters in their craft. I cannot thank them enough!!
