Dai is an outstanding mechanic. He did a fantastic job replacing the timing belt on my 20+ year-old Toyota 4Runner, as well as servicing the differential oils, brakes, and power steering fluid — all at a very fair price and completed on time. He’s extremely knowledgeable about 4Runners and takes the time to carefully evaluate and explain what truly needs attention, rather than recommending unnecessary services. I truly appreciate his honesty, professionalism, and expertise.
First time I ever brought my own oil for oil change. I was a little nervous after reading some negative reviews. I went on Saturday morning right when it opened, and there were already several people waiting in line. The mechanic (not old but middle aged) was certainly not talkative or friendly, but he seemed like an honest person. He didn't rush but took time to check everything for work despite people waiting outside, and the price he quoted after the work was very low. I gave him double since that's the low end of what I expected, but he said it's too much and gave back most! I mean, who does that? Unexpected but pleasant surprise to find this place in my neighborhood.
Called in because my car broke down only to get snapped at by a worker named Dai. Super rude and made the situation worse. If you want to get snarky remarks while you’re stranded in the middle of the road unable to move your car, Dai is your guy.
Got my tire repaired in 5 minutes, much quicker than big chained shops. Honest and friendly handy man. Will definitely comeback for future small car repair work.
I came in to Handyman Auto Repair on a family referral, after a different smog shop told me I needed to get my brake pads replaced. I was really worried about what that would cost, but the Handyman owner let me know I still have at least 1-2 years before I need the service - he showed me what to look out for and how to be able to tell myself. My family has used Handyman for a while, and he's given us such great service and even advice like this. He is extremely fair and informative. Highly recommend.
