I first hired Proper Hour Home Service for a shower door installation, and they did a great job, so I reached out to them again to replace all of the interior door slabs in my house. Replacing just the slabs takes quite a bit of precision and skill, so I was really glad they were willing to take this project on. There was some confusion at the beginning around scheduling, but once I brought it up, they adjusted quickly. Samuel then took over the project, and that really changed the experience for the better. We also ran into a misunderstanding around the scope of work and an additional cost that initially felt much higher than expected, to the point where I was considering cancelling the project. Samuel took the time to listen to my concerns, work through everything with me, and come up with a fair price. When the final scope ended up being a little less than anticipated, he even reduced the price further, which I really appreciated. He also sent two technicians to make up for the initial delay and get the work completed quickly. The doors turned out great, and the job was finished much faster than I expected. What could have been a frustrating experience was completely turned around by Samuel's responsiveness, patience, and willingness to find a fair solution. I would definitely recommend Proper Hour Home Service, especially for their technical skill and the way they handled an issue when it came up.
I had a great experience working with the team at Proper Hour Home Service. They installed my new gas cooktop, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. They were responsive, communicated clearly, and worked within my budget. The crew arrived on time, completed the installation professionally, and made sure everything was done correctly. The new cooktop fits perfectly and looks fantastic. I really appreciate their attention to detail and would definitely hire them again for future projects.
Service One day we discovered discoloration with the baseboard in one of our rooms. We decided to get some professional opinion to see why that was. I reached out to a few services, but Proper Hour Home Service was able to come and perform a proper inspection. During the inspection, they were able to isolate the cause. It was due to gaps in the wall leading to moisture seeping inward. They were able to provide a solution, and schedule for the repair. We had to reschedule a few times, but they were responsive in their communication. Miscellaneous Proper Hour Home Service was responsive, professional, and easy to work with. They identified and completed the repair in a reasonable time frame. There are parts that I felt they did a bit of a rush job, such as the paint. They were also having issues with accepting credit cards, which made payment a bit of a hassle. But all in all, it was a good experience working with them. Would recommend and work with again.
In early July 2026 we had Proper Hour Home Services help us with pre-installation work for a new refrigerator. As always, Proper Hour Home Services were very easy to work with and did a fantastic job at a great price! Our new fridge was too tall for our cabinet space, so needed to cut about 1 1/4 inches from top lip. We also had a long copper tubing run connecting filtered water to our old fridge ice maker. Since Lowe’s installation doesn’t work with copper tubing and requires a valve to hook up the ice maker line, we needed the copper tubing cut and a valve added to the new end. Ihor from PHHS came and did an excellent job on both tasks! He was able to detach the cabinet lip and cut it outside, so we never heard the loud sawing we expected :-). After installing the cut lip, it measured just right with a little room to space. He cut the copper tubing very cleanly after turning off the water main and installed and tested the valve he bought at Home Depot. Ihor also put down plastic before the work and did a great cleanup job. Our new fridge fit perfectly in the cabinet space and Lowe’s installers had a very simple, smooth hookup of the ice maker line to the new valve with their ice maker line installation kit we bought with the fridge. I contacted Proper Home Service to fix my toilet and they had a plumber come out to fix the toilet immediately. He was here for an hour and replaced an angle. The leak caused a loss of water at the rate of 10 gallons per hour. The cost was not exorbitant. I definitely recommend this company.
