Service One day we discovered discoloration with the baseboard in one of our rooms. We decided to get some professional opinion to see why that was. I reached out to a few services, but Proper Hour Home Service was able to come and perform a proper inspection. During the inspection, they were able to isolate the cause. It was due to gaps in the wall leading to moisture seeping inward. They were able to provide a solution, and schedule for the repair. We had to reschedule a few times, but they were responsive in their communication. Miscellaneous Proper Hour Home Service was responsive, professional, and easy to work with. They identified and completed the repair in a reasonable time frame. There are parts that I felt they did a bit of a rush job, such as the paint. They were also having issues with accepting credit cards, which made payment a bit of a hassle. But all in all, it was a good experience working with them. Would recommend and work with again.
This company fixed a very old hung window for me after trying for 3 times. First of all, it's very hard to find someone who is willing to take this seemingly small job. It actually turned out to be very challenging. Samuel is very helpful and responsive for the request, Ihor the technician is amazing, very patient and did a great job, helped me order the right parts and finally made it work. I cannot say more good things about him, I wish I could rate with 10 stars. The whole process was long, however, I felt easier by working with this group. The cost was reasonable for the scope of work. I will definitely go back to this company for any future home service. Highly recommend!
4 appointments. 4 failures. Complete waste of my time. I hired Proper Hour Home Service for drain fix and jetted tub cleaning. What followed was weeks of wasted time and broken commitments: * Appointment 1 (Friday 2p): They cancelled at 12:30p same day due to van issues and they said it was Friday. * Appointment 2 (Monday afternoon): I asked to reschedule to Wednesday 3p. * Appointment 3 (Wednesday 3p): Crew arrived early. They stayed until 3:30p, then walked out without saying a word. Within minutes of the crew silently walking out, the company called me to inform me their technicians weren't "experienced or equipped" for the job, meaning they knew exactly what their crew did and why. They asked me to reschedule, again. * Appointment 4 (Thursday 3p): At 2:55p, 5 minutes before the appointment, I received a text from "Sam" stating they were declining the project because they weren't "fully confident" their technicians could complete the work. Here's what makes this inexcusable: if they knew their team couldn't handle the job, why did it take FOUR appointments and weeks of my time to figure that out? That cancellation text reads like a pre-written template, which makes me wonder how many other customers have received the exact same message. My commute is 60-90 minutes each way. I lost hours across multiple days for absolutely nothing. After the final cancellation, I texted demanding a callback from the owner or management. I was completely ghosted. No call. No follow up. Nothing. Zero work completed. Zero accountability. Zero respect for customers' time. Avoid Proper Hour Home Service entirely. I had hired them in the past before for a previous job with no issues. Which is why I gave them so many chances. That makes this experience all the more disappointing.
Proper Hour Home Services did a wall texturing and paint job for which I am very happy with the job. I plan to use their home services again in the future as projects come up. I recommend them to do a job well done.
