A lot that was excellent, with several little details that took the rating down a bit. We replaced our 30-year old furnace with a heat pump system. The advisor we worked with, Roberto, was great; actually did a Man-J load calculation with lidar measurements to determine the true system we needed. We were picky about having everything in the contract and Air Care was the only company that put the details in the quote. Warranty was good (not the best, but good), and their maintenance plan is good (not the best, but good). Great financing, and unlike a couple other supposedly highly rated companies did understand that not all thermostats work with variable heat pump systems. Adrian and Chris did the installation and were friendly, kept us informed, on time, and did a very good job – with a couple exceptions. Namely, need to read the contract (wrong filter grade ordered, tried to change the return size), the vents are supposed to fit a 4x14 vent cover but they are a bit small (AirCare is coming out to fix them), forgot to turn the water heater back on one evening, left the attic insulation pulled up, left wood scraps in the crawlspace (termites!), and since they finished late on Friday, did not completely walk us through the thermostat set up (which we figured out later). The office scheduling was pleasant, kept us informed of when people were arriving – but did charge us for the free maintenance and we had to catch that and have it reversed. None of these small items should prevent you from using them, and we do recommend using Air Care, just watch all the details as with any company.

I called Air Care Heating & Cooling after searching for a San Jose company that was certified to do maintenance on Bryant's Evolution line of whole-house heat pumps. The certification is important because I've worked with other companies that lack this certification and they were lost when faced with Evolution's self-diagnostics system. Air Care answered the phone promptly and they were able to set me up for a maintenance visit 2 days later. Their senior tech arrived early (he called ahead first). I also received a text message with the tech's picture so I knew who to expect. When he arrived, I explained that the system had been installed three years before and it needed a thorough review to make sure everything was working properly. I also needed the upstairs thermostat calibrated because it was several degrees off. He carefully went through the system, showed me the pictures of his finding. He verified that the system was installed properly and that many of the subtle details where installers often use shortcuts were also done the right way. He knew how to use the heat pump's built-in diagnostics instead of taking things apart and measuring manually. The price was very reasonable and there were no surprises in the bill. I will definitely be calling Air Care for work in the future.

I replaced my gas based heating system as well as cooling unit which was old to new Heat pump in Dec 2025 through Aircare heat and cool company. From start to finish they did an excellent job. Joey visited first and assessed the needs. Once the contract was signed and scheduled, Adolf did such a wonderful job end to end setting up everything and double verified all connections / systems. He asked if there are any questions throughout and answered all questions. Only thing I should have planned better is to do it prior to winter as we didn’t have heat for about 2 day while setup was in progress. But with federal credit expiring we had to plan for it before the end of the year. I highly recommend Aircare heat and cool and so happy to have Adolf worked on this project for us. Another great thing with heat pump is that my son no longer has early morning allergies. He used to sneeze a lot when the old heater runs, but after installing heat pump his allergies went away. Also we see the dryness of skin reduced as well.
