I highly recommend this company located in Ukraine for all your electrical, plumbing, and HVAC needs. They offer a fantastic selection, ranging from small components to large industrial units, including various types of pipes and sewer system accessories. The water heaters—both tank and tankless—are high quality and affordably priced. Most importantly, the staff is friendly and helpful. One important tip: do not use Google Maps to find their address, as it may misdirect you due to the proximity to the Oakland Airport. Use the native Maps app instead for accurate directions.
Not initially obvious how you navigate this place but you will find your way eventually. They do have supplies you won't find at bigbox stores. Great source of HVAC vent pieces in all types and sizes.
At American Emperor, the staff are always attentive and ready to listen to what you need to do or what materials you need, they can provide great recommendations/solutions with any project that requires their products as they are profoundly knowledgeable about them, and the various applications they could be used for, they really are experts. The materials are neatly organized and the staff are always happy to help you find what you’re looking for, as long as they have it there, anyone that you ask knows where it can be found, if you know what you’re asking for, I speak good English to them and they speak good English to me. On larger orders, they will assist with loading the materials onto your vehicle. They assist you at the counter when you are next in line, and gather the materials for you if you don’t really know what you’re looking for or where it is, you can also browse the wide selection and grab what you need prior to standing in line. I have read off large orders with 50-100 items, most of the times without any issues because I know what I need and how to ask for it, if they need clarification on something, since there’s different types of the same thing in plumbing I look it up on google and show them an image of exactly what I need, easy! On occasion I have showed images of the repair needed/problem/broken part and they are able to help me 10x faster as an image is worth 1000 words. Most importantly they sell good products that last, and can special order any product you’re interested in if needed and not available in store. This is my review after ten years of patronage at American Emperor.
I’ve been supporting this business for over a year, regularly coming here to pick up materials for my project because my contractor often sends me here. Unfortunately, my experience today was unacceptable. There were no other customers waiting, and when I approached the salesman — who was sitting on his phone — and politely said, “Excuse me, could you please help me with this part?” he yelled at me and told me to go back to the line and wait until someone called me. That kind of behavior is completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable, especially toward a paying customer. I’ve always believed in supporting small businesses, but customer service is the foundation of any successful company. If the owner allows this kind of attitude to continue, loyal customers will start taking their business elsewhere — because no one deserves to be treated this way.
