We recently had HVAC gurus remove our old heating system and install a new heat pump, ducting, hepa filter, and vents. They came highly recommended by a contractor we worked with who had worked with them multiple times. Through out the process they took the utmost care to ensure they got it right the first time. I had four other companies out for quotes and HVAC Gurus was by far the most detail oriented and worked with me for to find the best solution for our family. I asked many questions and they were very courteous and knowledgeable. They were able to get the old system out and new system in very quickly and the team was very nice and respected our house and neighborhood well. They were clean and left everything in good or better condition. After the install they ensured we had everything we needed and made the permit and rebate process very easy. The inspectors were impressed with the work and didn’t find anything to fault them on. Overall - the team really cared for us and spent tons of time making sure we got what was right for us. Very pleased.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this HVAC company absolutely earned one. I called them to diagnose and repair an issue with my system, and instead of fixing the problem, they made it significantly worse. The technician barely spent time troubleshooting and seemed to guess at the issue rather than properly diagnosing it. He replaced parts that clearly weren’t the root cause and rushed through the job. After they left, the system started performing worse than before. The airflow dropped, the unit began making new noises, and the system started short cycling. It was obvious something wasn’t installed or adjusted correctly. When I checked the work, it looked sloppy, panels not secured properly, wiring not neatly routed, and no clear explanation of what was actually done. What’s even more frustrating is that when I contacted the company to explain that their repair made the problem worse, they were slow to respond and showed little interest in taking responsibility or sending someone competent to correct the issue. HVAC work requires careful diagnosis and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this company showed neither. Now I’m stuck paying another technician to fix both the original issue and the new problems they created. If you value your time, money, and functioning HVAC system, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The sales and installation experience with HVAC Gurus started off great. The sales team was responsive, professional, and quick to help me select the right heat pump. Installation was smooth and the technicians did a good job. **** [PROBLEM] **** However, things completely changed after the installation was done and the invoice (including the city permit fee) was fully paid. Part of the contract clearly states that HVAC Gurus would handle the entire city permit application and approval process, and they even charged me for the permit. But weeks later, the permit process has still not been initiated. I've followed up multiple times. No one answers the phone. No one calls back. I've sent emails -- no response. At one point the sales agent mentioned there was "a lot of crowd in the city office," but since then I've heard nothing. The lack of communication is extremely frustrating, especially because my rebates and tax credits for this year are at risk if the permit isn't filed promptly. It's disappointing to see how responsive they were before the sale, only to go radio silent afterward. If they get back to me, submit the permit immediately, and follow through as promised, I'm happy to update this rating. $5000 in rebates & Tax Credits are at risk for me. Please avoid this company.

I was looking to get an idea and understanding of what’s happening in the trade as far as changing a furnace and AC to a heat pump. HVAC Gurus were the only company that was more than happy to host me in their shop and show me their training room, which included a furnace and a/c and heat pump system next to it . They even had a hybrid (gas and heat pump) setup, which I didn’t know about. Simon was very detailed and explained the different between the two options as far as heating /cooling operating , sound level , efficiency and overall comfort . I did not hire them yet but wow I was impressed from their operation and how organized the shop was.

Stay Away! These people are not installing equipment properly, nor do they honor the invoice you paid for. 1. Sold me on a variable speed heat pump - installed it as a single stage. It should have been installed as a two stage at the very least. 2. Did not install a communication line between air handler and heatpump which was a line item on the invoice. This is how the system works more intelligently, but now it works as a dumb single stage system. 3. DID NOT PULL PERMITS! and it doesn't seem like they will. Cannot get a call back from the office. I have reported them to contractor state license board.... now I need to figure out how to get a permit and how to get my money back for items they did not do.
