Avoid this company at all costs. They installed a wall heater in our rental, and a part failed in under two years — already disappointing. But the real issue was the repair: they charged nearly a third of the furnace’s cost to replace a simple part that took less than an hour. Their payment system is stuck in the past. No online payment option, no link, nothing. Just “call us” or “mail a check.” Because of that hassle, I didn’t get to it right away, and they slapped on a $35 late fee for two months. The repair occurred in late April. Payment was made in June but was still charged a June late payment fee!!??? Between the inflated pricing, the outdated billing, and the lack of customer care, this company is not worth your time or money.
Lawrence at Sugar Bear gave me several options to repair or replace my existing furnace. We had no heat, and they were able to put us on the schedule within 2 business days. All of the workers were polite, courteous, wore shoe covers, super thorough and knowledgeable. They even cleaned out the ducts. Also, we had to widen the opening for the new furnace and Sugar Bear got the carpentry work done the same week. The new furnace is better than ever. Really, this was a 5 star, white glove service experience. I highly recommend Sugar Bear.
Lawrence was extremely honest and professional. Although we weren’t able to install the new thermostat due to the old wiring, he clearly explained the issue instead of pushing a workaround that wouldn’t be right. He put the old thermostat back on and even took the time to educate me on how to properly seal the heater for better efficiency. I really appreciated his transparency, patience, and willingness to help. Highly recommend Sugar Bear Home Service.
I saw a billboard ad for this business that was clearly AI — lazy, but not the real problem. The billboard showed a bear sticking a screwdriver directly into a wall socket. What if a child sees this happy bear (with a backwards “SB” on its hat) in this unsafe, harmful and potentially fatal position and chooses to recreate it since it saw a smiling bear doing so? Also, there was no website or phone number listed on the billboard. Based on this advertisement alone, I would never use this business, I wouldn’t want a company who can’t bother to review their visual ads with more than a few seconds of attention to be trusted with major electrical work. Please do better and care more about what you put out there to represent your brand!
This company is spot on and professional, and very transparent. I was very pleased with the work, and the owners Lawrence and his wife, Mia kept good communication with me. We had to replace our whole sewer line plumbing on our rental property. Each day on this week and a half project, workers were on time at the site daily.We are very pleased with this company! Sugar Bear will be our go to plumbing company for our residential home and for our rental properties. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
