After 30+ years, we were in need of a new HVAC system and received quotes from three different companies. From the start, Bell Products stood out. Rick stopped by right on time and was extremely professional. He thoroughly inspected our system both inside and out, explained the different system options clearly, and was very knowledgeable and friendly. He sent us a detailed quote by the end of the day, kept in touch throughout the process, and had everything scheduled for the following week. The installation was handled by Shawn and Alfredo, who completed the job within two days. They were both polite, professional, and hardworking, and they cleaned up as they went. The entire process went smoothly, and we were kept informed every step of the way. Overall, we are very pleased with Bell Products. Everyone we worked with was courteous and professional, and the experience was stress-free from start to finish. I highly recommend Bell Products for anyone in need of HVAC services.
I contacted Bell Products to repair my air conditioning unit. The technician replaced a thermostat and topped off a low charge—I paid $902 for this service—but the system still didn’t work. They then told me I needed a leak search for another $900, and eventually said I needed a completely new system for $10,000. I contacted another vendor, who confirmed the unit was fine—only a small pump needed to be replaced. I replaced the pump, and the system now works perfectly. It feels like Bell Products pushes unnecessary repairs and expensive replacements to maximize profit rather than actually fixing the problem. This caused me a lot of stress, and I feel the $902 charge was for incomplete or inadequate work. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and will file a complaint with the California Contractors State License Board to address what I believe is misleading and potentially fraudulent business practice. I would not recommend this company. Look for a smaller, honest firm that will actually fix your system without trying to take advantage of you financially.
Excellent customer service and quality work. Dave has a great attitude and was able to design and make me custom flashing in 10 minutes. Highly recommend Bell Products.
Scott Fletcher did a fantastic job on my house. We were having heater problems and he came out right away and fixed it the same the day. He was very conscientious about keeping the area he was working on clean and didn’t leave any garbage behind. I highly recommend Bell Products and will call them again! Thanks, Scott.
We’ve used this company for 30 years but after some recent experiences we can’t recommend them. Their technician Armando is belligerent, aggressive, rude, as well as completely incompetent. He deliberately takes a long time to complete very basic jobs in order to increase charges. When we last hired Bell, Armando came and took three hours (we later hired a handyman and he completed the job in 10 minutes), even after all that time he left the job incomplete but then refused to leave our property until he was paid. He said we didn’t “have a rapport with the company” even though multiple family members have used Bell for multiple properties for decades! I was really scared and paid Armando just to get him to leave for my own safety. Another time he came to our property, he was aggressive and damaged items inside the house. When I asked him how long a certain job would take he became angry and defensive. It’s very uncomfortable having in the house. He’s just not someone I would trust around my family members kids or personal property. I don’t know what kind of company would hire someone who treats customers this way or expect customers to pay for work that was left incomplete or not done at all. So Bell sent this belligerent, untrustworthy person to my house. They sent someone to do a job who didn’t have the skills to complete the work. And then when I called the office they didn’t do anything to fix the situation. I paid over $400 for nothing and had to hire someone else to do the job. To say this was a disappointment is an understatement.
