CES Tech scammed me into paying for a return vent upgrade that did absolutely nothing to fix my problem. I originally contacted CES Tech through my Choice Home Warranty because my utility bills were unusually high in both summer and winter. After inspecting my HVAC system, they told me my home’s return air capacity was insufficient and strongly recommended adding an additional return vent. I repeatedly asked whether this would actually solve my problem and reduce my energy bills. Based on their assurances, I paid $1,200 for the upgrade. Now, after waiting 8–9 months, my utility bills have not gone down at all. Worse, I later found out that my AC wasn’t even operating at full capacity because of a Puron (R-410A) refrigerant leak—the actual issue, which CES Tech completely failed to identify during their inspection. Instead of diagnosing the real problem, they sold me an expensive upgrade that provided no benefit. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any costly HVAC upgrades from CES Tech.
Cesar Ramirez is an excellent technician and he arrived as per schedule and fixed the AC issue. It was so prompt and there were no delays. He spoke very professionally and completed the work.
Cesar repaired a leak in our ac system and was very knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of information about why it was leaking and how to maintain the ac flow throughout the house by remembering to change the filter more often. I would recommend him for any ac repairs.
Cesar repaired my rental property’s AC for a leak two weeks ago. When it suddenly stopped working today, he squeezed us into his busy schedule immediately since there was a senior in the house. He quickly found a burned-out fuse and replaced it. Incredible customer service!
These people are a scam. Technician showed up and said my brand new a/c is leaking and it is having very low levels of Puron gas R410A. They sent me estimates of $700 for this, we took second opinion and after checking the levels were perfect and full. They are a big scam don’t allow these people to touch your a/c.
