We had an excellent experience working with Charlie and ICE Heating & Cooling on a commercial HVAC project at our facility. The scope of work included a complete replacement of our existing HVAC system, installation of a new high-efficiency Amana heat pump system, and replacement of major ductwork throughout the building. From the beginning of the project, Charlie was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and very detail-oriented. He took the time to explain the process clearly, answer questions, and make sure every part of the installation was completed properly and according to plan. The quality of workmanship was excellent. The installation was clean, organized, and handled with a high level of professionalism. The new ductwork and airflow design made a noticeable improvement in system performance, efficiency, and overall comfort throughout the facility. We especially appreciated the communication and reliability throughout the project. Charlie stayed involved from start to finish, coordinated everything professionally, and made sure the job site remained clean and organized during the work. It is not easy to find HVAC contractors who combine technical knowledge, honesty, communication, and quality workmanship at this level. ICE Heating & Cooling exceeded our expectations, and we would confidently recommend them for both commercial and residential HVAC projects.

Charlie is an amazing engineer. He not just helped us with the HVAC installation (2 to be exact) but also solved our problem with the fireplace and coordinated with the manufacturer.and installer. He did the calculations for air flow to make sure it worked well. Charlie was the only one that read the manual and was able to bridge the gap. He goes above and beyond and really does take pride in his work. This is an art long lost in the US. I would highly recommend him and if I had to do it again I would hire him again

Don't be fooled by the reviews posted on this site. Charlie, who says is the owner, installed a Heat Pump in my home and it failed 3 months later. I contacted Charlie and explained my situation to him and he took 2 weeks to call me back. Then promised he would come out to take a look l. 3 weeks later Charlie showed up and left his customer service hat at home. He simply turned on the system to verify it didn't work. Didn't check the gas levels or for any leaks. He explained he tool pictures and was sending it to the MFG and would get back to me. He didn't respond for over month and stated he had not heard back from the MFG. The temperature was in the 90's that week and I was tired of waiting, so I called a Licensed HVAC contractor, who came out the same day. He tested the system and found that the system had lost all of its Freon. He then pressure tested the system and found that one of the connectors that was used by Ice Air had failed and leaked all of the gas out of the line. They had stated that a Shark Bite connector had been used on a line and it had separated. The company corrected the problem and refilled the lines. This cost me over $1,500.00 to repair. The repair person also stated that don't be surprised if it happens at another point in the line, the original Installer used shark bites throughout the whole line and it's impossible for him to test the integrity of the connector without pulling them apart. I did contact Charlie to explain the situation and he stated that somebody must have been in our attic that disturbed the line and caused the problem. No one had been in the attic since the installation had been completed. Well, sure enough, the system failed again this week. I did contact the company once again to come check the problem and they had stated that another connector had separated and caused the same problem. I paid another $950 for this assessment and ask them not to do the repair until I contacted Charlie. After contacting Charlie once again, he explained that he could no longer honor any warranty on his equipment because another technician had done work on the system. After explaining that the problem was from the original installation, he continued to tell me that he would still come out, but have to charge me for any repairs. Be warned, don't use this guy. He is a huge problem for contractors and gives a bad name to the HVAC industry. I am taking him to court and have filed a complaint with the CSLB

I had to replace my AC unit and had 4 different contractors to come in. Some sent sellers generating quotes, some didn't follow, prices was all over the map. Charly came and was very transparent about the challenges, gave me very simple options and clear choices. I ended up by converting my all system with heat pump for a very reasonable price. Charly was transparent, super responsive. He gave me confidence of his ability to deliver and he did. 5 Stars.

We had an excellent experience working with Charlie from ICE Heating and Cooling. We have an older radiant heating system, and Charlie quickly diagnosed the issue and brought everything up to date and back to full functionality. Our radiators are working beautifully now, and we’re truly grateful to Charlie and the entire ICE team.
