Absolute Scam – Do Not Trust Paradise Duct! ❌ Total scam. Do not trust this company. We called them because our dryer was showing a "d80" error code, and we fell for their good reviews. It was a massive mistake. The Bait-and-Switch: The main line told me they could come the same day. Shortly after, a foreign call center rang me back to cancel, rescheduling for 11:00 AM the next day instead. The Pushy Contractor: At 8:30 AM the next morning, a disgruntled technician named Viktor called, demanding to come at 9:00 AM instead because of his "route." I explicitly told him I had to leave for an appointment at 9:30 AM. He dismissed my schedule, claiming "it will only take 10 minutes." The "Service": When he arrived, he complained about our duct being long and claimed he was doing me a favor by charging a whopping $399. He then spent 10 minutes talking to me about Israel and only about 5 minutes actually working on the vent. Shady Payment: He insisted on being paid via Zelle instead of a credit card. The Zelle account wasn't even under Paradise Duct—it was linked to a completely different company called "GoodGuysServices" and a generic Gmail account. A massive red flag that I unfortunately missed because I was in a rush. The Result: The dryer still displays the d80 error. They fixed absolutely nothing. It is incredibly clear that Paradise Duct just hires out sketchy third-party contractors who don't know what they are doing. Save your money and call a legitimate, local professional instead!
