Although they don’t typically service residential properties, they were more than willing to help maintain our clients commercial Traulsen refrigerator. They recently helped us with a walk-in freezer issue and responded quickly, diagnosed the problem fast, and got everything running properly with minimal downtime. Their team is professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. Whether it’s walk-in coolers, freezers, restaurant equipment, or commercial HVAC systems, they consistently deliver excellent service. Highly recommend R&R for commercial refrigeration repair, restaurant equipment service, and HVAC maintenance throughout the Greater Bay Area. Great company and great people to work with!
Long story short, I personally will not be using them again. If you do decide to use them, I would recommend only using them for residential units because they did not seem experienced with our commercial unit, which ended up costing us a significant amount of time and money. I want to start by saying that the technician who came on-site was very professional and communicative. I had absolutely no issues with him. I manage multiple sites, the majority of which are preschools, so professionalism and communication are extremely important to us. Where my complaint comes in is with the office communication. They were very poor at returning phone calls, and they also required me to order all of the necessary repair parts myself because they did not want to deal directly with the manufacturer. In the end, the machine was NOT repaired, and it cost us $1,412 in labor alone, not including any parts. When I spoke to the office about my frustration regarding the poor communication and the inconvenience of them coming out four times over the course of three months without any real answers, they simply blamed me for “not answering my phone,” even though I often had to call them three or more times just to schedule appointments. They also made excuses for the other issues instead of taking accountability. We ultimately decided to purchase a brand-new machine for $1,200, which ended up costing less than the endless repairs that never fixed the problem.
What can I say about R&R? They are truly the best. I’ve been working with Mary and team for about two years now, and they are always reliable, responsive, and on time. Communication is consistently open and clear, and they’ve been servicing our school district for quite some time. I can’t say enough about how amazing this company is. We will continue to rely on R&R for all of our refrigeration needs.
