I originally ran across Rescue Air Service on a cold winter’s weekend morning when my gas heater went out. James came by a couple of hours after I called and had me up and running in a few minutes. He struck me as a serious, honest, and diligent guy, so I called him last year to start the process of replacing my gas heater with a new dual-fuel heater and adding air conditioning. This required my electrician to upsize my power panel, which is a one-year process with PG&E (we have underground power). PG&E required me to submit cutsheets of the equipment I would be installing, which James supplied. A year later, when I was ready, I called James, and he gave me a date about 5 weeks out to do the work. He showed up on the scheduled day with a 4-man crew that took care of the entire installation in one long day. James stuck with the job through HERS testing and the final city inspection. James and the full Rescue Air team is very skilled and professional. They installed new heat pump and furnace in my home. James is very honest and responsive. I later on used them for various purposes such as moving the outdoor unit to a different place, installing soft start for the heat pump etc. and were very pleased with the service. When the soft starter went bad after a couple of years, James came the next day to fix it and didn’t even charge me for the service.

James and his crew installed our furnace and a/c. Not only does Rescue Air do great work, they have excellent customer service. Our gas safety valve tripped causing no gas to the house. I am not very handy so I incorrectly thought the furnace and water heater died on us. One call to James and he swung into action. Diagnosed that the gas was out, and reset the gas safety valve. And did not even charge a fee. If you are thinking about hiring Rescue Air, just do it. You will not regret it. Thanks James!

I have a 2 story house and the 2nd floor was always much much warmer than the first floor. It was about a 8 degree difference between the two floors. I got about 7 quotes from reputable HVAC contractors with many different recommendations and strong opinions from pretty much every company. James was unique, he looked over my current system, asked me what my goals were, and recommended a couple options. He was not pushy whatsoever. I was mulling overt the 2 options (Option 1: Zoning. Option 2: 2 separate air handlers for each floor). I ended up going with Option 2 as I wanted to control the temperature differently on 2 separate areas of the house and the zoning option was a mechanic damper and would only partially address my air flow issues. The price was really competitive. The crew arrived on time and kept things neat and tidy. The 3 day job ended up taking 2 full days (until 7pm) and we could not be happier with the results. I am used to sweating it out on the 2nd floor bedroom and for the first time in 9 years of owning my house I was cold. Don't hesitate to use Rescue Air!
