Hired them for a furnace that was running continuously and not responding to the thermostat. Two visits, about $500 total. First visit: filters changed, voltage checked at the thermostat and at the furnace, no diagnosis reached. Second visit: a Nest Power Connector was installed. That part was correctly specified — my system is heating-only with only two thermostat wires, so it genuinely needs one — and the installation itself looks fine. But it addressed a thermostat power issue, not the problem I called about. After that visit the furnace would start but could not be turned off at all. It ran until the high-limit switch cut the burners, then relit, cycling that way indefinitely. I had to leave the system shut off at the service switch. The actual fault was a short at the thermostat base plate. It was found by disconnecting the R wire at the wall and checking whether the furnace still ran — a five-minute test requiring no tools or parts. That test was never performed across either visit! A technician from another company walked me through it over the phone at no charge. I called for a follow-up and did not receive a call back. Two stars rather than one because the Power Connector was the right part and is properly installed. But I paid for diagnosis twice and did not get one.
