This review is long overdue and it was probably by more than a year. My water heater stopped working and it turned out to be under a manufacturer recall. I called Amor Plumbing to schedule the installation once the new parts arrived, and the woman I spoke with on the phone was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. After talking with her, I realized I probably should have called them first. If they had the parts available, they may have been able to get it installed faster, saved me a couple nights of cold showers, and spared me the headache of dealing with the manufacturer. I usually dread calling contractors because I’ve had plenty of bad experiences in the past, but Amor Plumbing was different. On the day of the appointment, Teddy came out to do the installation and he was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to handle it. Highly recommend Amor Plumbing.
In the middle of winter our hot water heater decided it didn't get enough attention and stopped working. Our unit controls the hot water and the heater. Needless to say, we were in a tough spot. The part to fix the problem? Out of stock everywhere. Not only did Tanya at Amor get the part ordered and sent overnight, they scheduled us a fantastic tech, Ted, that day. Hot water heater is happy, cold family is warm. I can't say enough about the service of Amor. 10 stars if they offered it!
The pilot light for our new natural gas water heater was difficult to light and not staying on for much more than a day. After troubleshooting with the vendor Tech Support they eventually referred us to Amor Plumbing Friday afternoon 8/15. On Saturday 8/16 morning, Ted, Technician from Amor Plumbing, came out to further troubleshoot our new water heater. Ted was punctual, very knowledgeable and experienced. He quickly evaluated that there weren't any installation problems and based upon our operation descriptions he tested the gas valve controller; verified incoming gas pressure within tolerances while under different operating conditions, thermopile voltages at ambient and heated conditions, for sufficient air content for combustion and performed gas leak detection. He concluded the issue was with the valve controller, thoroughly explained his conclusions and replaced the controller along with thermopile/pilot light assembly and inspected the burner. There weren't any more issues with valve controller and pilot light light going out after the service! For any future water heater problems at our homes, I will call Amor Plumbing and ask for Ted.
Our water heater broke down unexpectedly. I decided to purchase a new water heater on my Home Depot account, noticing they offered Rheem models. After researching installers familiar with Rheem products, who were also service providers (for future reference), I reached out to Amor Plumbing. They were accommodating and suggested upgrading to a larger unit than the existing 30-gallon one, considering the available space in the water heater closet and my family's needs. Amor Plumbing not only picked up the new water heater but also managed the installation and additional necessary fittings, restoring hot water for my family. Their willingness to install the water heater I chose, along with their professional and customer-focused service, left me thoroughly happy. Huge thanks to Amor Plumbing!
