Was assigned this plumber by my home warranty company. Plumber did diagnostic of my leaky toilet for less than 5 minutes and said we needed to get authorization from the warranty company. After 10 days of waiting, I hired a new plumber who identified a leak in the supply line (simple fix) no charge. I ended up fixing the toilet myself after a week and half of waiting for John to “seek authorization”. Poor communication, lack of attention to detail, no initiative to diagnose simple problems. Received a $100 refund for no services rendered by my warranty company.
John has been assigned to our home via Old Republic Home Warranty twice for a disposal issue and an in-wall pipe leak. Each time, John provided a thorough explanation of the issue, the likely causes, how to solve, and how to prevent further issues of the same nature. He is patient, kind, and answers all questions I’ve thrown at him. We appreciate his speedy response and how he often finishes much sooner than quoted at outset.
John at Beekman is a terrible plumber. Avoid him at all costs. He may act professional on the phone but he is totally different when he is performing the repair. He is incompetent and doesn’t check his work. He left us without drinking water because of his mistake and refused to come back and fix his mistake. We had to hire someone else to do that. Unfortunately there is no 0 star to give because 1 star is too generous.
I would give a negative rating if it was possible. Our bath tub motor was not working and John submitted a wrong report based on his incompetence to our home warranty company. I am requesting they dispatch another plumber who knows his stuff. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND.
It took a few weeks to complete the work but I was told that from the beginning. John did great work and was always on time with our appointments. Hes also a veteran and i am proud to support a veteran owned company. Only thing that could be done better is the responsiveness of their appointment lady. She would take days sometimes longer to reply. Fix that part and a 5 star review comes with it.
