Benjamin Franklin Plumbing - San Jose did an excellent job replacing our water heater. Wayne was friendly, professional and efficient. He diagnosed the problem immediately, sat down and gave us clear options, and was able to replace our water heater all in a matter of five hours from the time I called their office for help, until the job was done. We’ll definitely use them again!
Benjamin Franklin Plumbing - San Jose was great. Pablo and his team were great! Top 3 things I loved: 1) Timeliness – they arrived exactly when promised, 2) Professionalism and courteous staff, 3) Reliability – the job was done right the first time. I called them when I needed a plumber near me for a small leak and they were punctual and respectful. Highly recommend.
I had plumbing issues in the bathroom and Wayne from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing San Jose arrived on time, explained everything clearly, and fixed the problem in a timely manner. He also found a huge problem with my water heater and alerted me when he was shutting off main water to do the service. Many thanks!!! His professionalism and communication were top notch and I felt confident he was reliable. The plumber was efficient, finished the repair ahead of schedule, and left the work area clean. I will definitely call them again for any residential plumbing needs and recommend them to anyone searching for a plumber near me.
From the moment I called to the final checkout, everything was seamless. The technician Jesús arrived quickly, was extremely polite, and explained the work clearly. I was impressed by how efficiently they diagnosed a major pipe leak and repaired it while keeping the area clean. The price was transparent and fair. I would definitely recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing San Jose for any residential plumbing needs, especially if you need an emergency plumber or a quick drain cleaning.
The work was OK, the problem was the loose relationship with the truth and upsell. We had a clogged toilet and the normal approach without an accessible cleanout would be to remove the toilet ($500) plus snake the line ($500+) and you're done. Instead they sold us on putting in a two-way cleanout ($3700) which was OK since it needed it anyway but then they tried to sell us on replacing all of the plumbing underneath the house ($11000) claiming that the cast iron sewer line had corroded and crumbled. See the flow of the line in the video - it was perfectly fine. The guy that is initially sent out is a salesman - not sure he's a licensed plumber since he doesn't do any of the work, just the estimate. He tries to maximize the value of the deal for the plumbing company. Bottom line: use a local plumber with good references who doesn't try to upsell.
