I had a great experience with Freddy and his team at Freedom Underground at my Menlo Park residence. It was a hairy situation where I needed to install a new sewer line down a shared driveway and into the public street. Various permits and inspections from the city as well as the sanitary district were needed, I had some concerned neighbors to deal with, and we had to do it in a way that protects a large heritage tree right near the work. Freddy was extremely patient and creative during the scoping process. He understood the requirements and concerns of all parties involved and offered different solutions based on what the needs were. He and his office manager Fiona did a good job of managing all the admin stuff as well. I never felt like the team didn't know what they were doing or didn't have a plan. Once the job started, Miguel did an excellent job managing the work and the team. His communication was great and he quickly corrected course based on any concerns or requirements raised. Miguel was a good foreman. I felt in good hands the whole time and I thought the team was very diligent in cleaning up each day, keeping me updated on progress, etc. I'd definitely work with them again.
My 60 year old galvanized main water line pipe decided to spring a leak one cold Saturday evening... I had to scramble to turn the water off at the meter. As soon as I did, I started calling around plumbers that could come out quick to help me fix the pipe, as i had no water in the house of 5 people. No showers, washing hands or using toilets. 4 guys came out, Freddy from Freedom was 2nd lowest offer. What sold me on his quote was that he was going to use a trenchless tunneling system called the HammerHead (minimize trenching and destruction of 50 feet of my yard) and the fact that he suggested that he install a pressure regulator without being asked (unlike the other plumbers). The pressure regulator is important because after replacing a 60 year old corroded galvanized steel pipe with brand new copper line, the water pressure in the house could go up dramatically, causing damage to appliances and pipes in the house. Freddy even agreed to install a Flo by Moen leak detection system at no additional charge. I am glad I decided to go with Freddy, his guys showed up on time the next morning, as agreed. His crew of guys (Christian and 4 others) worked non-stop, tirelessly and professionally. I could definitely tell the guys take pride in their work, they all did a fantastic job. I would recommend Freddy and Freedom Underground, they are awesome!
Miguel and Alex did a bang-up job fixing the main water line leak in my front yard. They were able to find and fix the leak in one visit, having to dig through both clay and roots. Highly recommended.... Although I hope to never need to call upon their services again! 😁

Freedom Underground Plumbing replaced our main sewer and water lines. The main sewer line replacement was done entirely trench-less, whereas the water line replacement was a combination of trench-less and open trench. The entire work was done in a timely manner and with great quality; we passed inspections without any issues. The water line replacement was a bit complex with multiple turns. The crew used smooth turns on the line where possible and we have had no drop in water pressure in the house or in the irrigation lines. The crew did its best to leave the landscape looking as much like before as possible. They even put back the grass cover that had to be removed for digging a wide hole. Freddy, the owner, gave me a quote that was competitive with the others I received. However I chose to go with Freedom Underground because Freddy genuinely seemed interested in providing the best solution for our needs. The foremen, Alex and Christian were both very responsive to my questions and kept me up-to-date with what was being done. I requested a change-order for replacing part of the sewer line under the house, and the quote provided was reasonable. Overall, I am very happy with the experience and whole-heartedly recommend Freedom Underground for underground replacement work.
