Genteel Plumbers

We’ve used Genteel Plumbers multiple times and have always been 100% Satisfied by their work. Their Technicians are professional, highly skilled, efficient and tidy. They have fixed our drains, and replaced our water heater, with long-lasting results. Today, their Tech Joan, who has previously serviced our home, came through and replaced our bathroom faucets, our downstairs shower head, the J-Tube, and the 1/4 turn shutoff valves. In addition, he also replaced an old galvanized piece of steel pipe feeding our cold water to the upstairs sink, that was clogged, with a brass one that was clear, and also cleared a clogged drain downstairs. He truly went “Above and Beyond”, in order to provide the proper services that we needed. I would highly recommend using Genteel Plumbers for all of your plumbing needs. A+++ Service. We had them come to update 2 bathroom sink faucets and 1 kitchen faucet and replace a broken disposal. Turns out all the pipes and valves associated with those were old and filled with decades of gunk. So we had everything replaced per their recommendation, which they thoroughly explained before proceeding. They even showed us the pipes after they disassembled so it was clear they badly needed to be replaced! Their pricing was transparent, and we were offered options before they proceeded on the different jobs. Workers (Edgar, Daniel, and one other tech) were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and left our place clean. They responded to my work request incredibly quickly. They arrived on time, and I appreciated a heads-up notice when they had an ETA with the names and photos of their technicians. That made me feel safer. I'm very happy with the work they did, and it's great knowing that they have a 2-year warranty on their work. Thank you!

I had a really good experience with the Genteel Plumbers office as well as my plumber Edgar. 1) The office is very responsive, which I appreciate a lot. It’s very helpful to be able to both text and call with the company when coordinating schedules. 2) The service itself by Edgar was also a no-brainer. He arrived on time and was very quick to fix several of the issues that I had. He worked on my kitchen and bathroom and was only here for about two hours. He did great work, left my place clean, and took the old parts with him so I don’t have to deal with disposing. I would request him specifically if I need to call Genteel again for other work. 3) I think that a lot of people have gripes about the cost. Some plumbers bill by project and some plumbers bill by hours. Genteel was slightly more than I’m used to, but honestly, if you can afford it, I would. Plumbing is not a job that will be taken by AI, so the trade will only become more expensive and valuable! So get those plumbing needs done now! Hah.

We needed a new garbage disposal and other plumbing issues fixed. We have used Genteel in the past and always have been happy with their work so we called and they came the same day. Edgar came out and gave us an estimate and we had several options. Edgar was very professional and he didn't pressure us to agree on the most expensive option. He patiently explained the pros and cons of each option and he left the decision up to us. Even though they are a little pricey, we would recommend them. They know their business and of all the issues they have taken care of over the years for us, we are extremely happy with their work. Ask for Edgar, he is extremely nice and he was very patient with all of our questions.

Joan and the Genteel team did an excellent job of replacing the toilet and valves in our Edwardian condo. They were very open about pricing options, on-target for both costs and time, and also very polite and careful. Great work!!!
