i just had my water heater flushed and the expansion tank replaced by Thomas & Sons Home Plumbing. barry did a great job and was very knowledgeable. he took the time to explain a few simple tips to help keep my water pressure at the right psi and make the system run better. the work was done carefully, neatly, and without rushing, and the area was left clean when everything was finished. it was a smooth plumbing service from start to finish, and i felt confident in the quality of the repair. i will definitely call again next time i need help with my plumbing, water heater, or pressure issues.

Barry arrived right on time, checked the unit carefully, explained the issue in simple terms, and let us know he could take care of it that same day. In the end, we needed a full water heater replacement because the old unit was far past its useful life. Even though it turned into a larger plumbing job than expected, Barry stayed late and completed everything properly so we would have hot water again without any delay. We are very grateful for the plumber Barry and his team who really went the extra mile to diagnose and repair our clogged bathtub drains before it turned into a bigger problem. Thomas & Sons Home Plumbing had to come back to check the pressure reducing valve and sort out the permit details after getting incorrect warranty information. Once that was cleared up, Barry returned to replace the PRV because the water pressure was too high, and he did an excellent job. He also checked the vent duct pipe above the water heater, but the part on hand was not the right size, so the correct one had to be ordered. nathaniel later came back to install and connect the modified gas vent duct pipe on top of the water heater, and everything turned out great. the work looks really clean, and i am very happy with how well the plumbing repair was handled in Oakland.
