We had all our windows replaced with Anlin Delmar dual pane windows from Custom Exteriors 14 years (2012) ago. Never knew about life time warranty until last month, one of the window cracked. We didn't have any receipt or anything, just an email we did 14 years ago. We just contacted the company on their website and amazingly, they have the record by the address. The service department was so helpful, they contacted us and contacted the manufacturer to set up appointment with the case number to get it replaced. The windows were replaced 14 years ago in one day and we had many custom sized windows. The amazing thing is they know exactly which window that cracked by us describing the location of the window. Anlin Delmar (Milgard) called us and setup the appointment. They came and replaced the windows in a few hours. It was amazing and we're extremely happy. Now we know, go with the best and reputable company like Custom Exteriors and a good manufacturer like Anlin Delmar to have after service years after the work is done. Would we recommend Custom Exteriors and Anlin Delmar? The answer is obvious, YES.
My experience with Customer Exteriors has been positive from start to finish! I had two windows replaced and siding installed on the front of my home. Mark and Zoltan are amazing craftsmen! They finished up my job yesterday and I could not be happier! They were a delight to work with! I appreciated their attention to every detail, treating my home as if it was theirs. Their pride in their work truly shows! Mark also suggested that I change out the existing lights for ones that were elongated and more modern to go with the vertical lines of the paneling, which look amazing 😊 Team Mark and Zoltan are an asset to your company! After this week together they feel like family😊 Custom Exteriors was recommended to us by our friend Jay who had you do his home a few years back. Great experience with custom exteriors replacing all of our windows (20+) in our 1940s Menlo Park home. We did ours through the Costco program (which locks you into the Marvin Infinity line…good value premium fiberglass window with sound package). Robert was great at explaining all the options within the infinity line, pros/cons, etc. Pricing was great, better value than other quotes we received from GCs with arguably lower grade windows. Shout out to Caesar also for his precise measurements (all windows were about 1/4” gap from the original framing which is incredible for maximizing the glass!) We had a mix of block frame and new construction windows and all of them were installed well with great workmanship. Some of the windows did have some silicone sealant smudges in the corners, but that’s probably an issue with Marvin, not custom exteriors. Their workers were always on time and respectful of our home. There was a small issue with the wrong colored hardware on one of the windows, and they promptly ordered and replaced it. Everything you want in a window installer. No fuss, no drama. Will definitely be using them again for future projects, and would recommend to anyone looking for trustworthy installer!
Went with this company through Costco. Walker Bardley provided us with a quote cheaper than the other 2 we had. We ordered 5 Marvin infinity fiberglass windows. We paid in full and it took them 3 months to initiate the window installation. Custom exteriors worked super fast to attempt to complete the work in 2 days. When I arrived home after the second day of their window installation, all the exterior trims were uneven, unlevel, and not squared. They put our old inside window trims back in the new windows. When we sign the contract we understood all interior and exterior trimming were included. I showed the vendor the mahogany trims in my sliding doors and told him I wanted the same inside trims for my windows. Not once he mentioned custom exteriors would not complete the full job/ the inside trims and that we would have to bring a 3rd party to refinish the inside of our home. When we asked custom exteriors for a quote for the trims the first quote came for $3,000 to trim and stain 5 windows. When I requested that they specify what type of wood they would provide they never got back to me. Finally they resent the quote now charging the same $3,000 but now to finish the trim for only three windows without any specification about the wood. Pretty misleading since the contract included staining the interior of the window. Two of my old indoor window trims did not even fit back into the new windows. The had no plan besides slapping new windows as fast as possible and moving to the next job. See pictures. We contacted Walker the sales person, Brett Peacock our rep, his manager David, nothing. Custom exteriors gets one star because they came back and fixed the outside trims, that are now for the most part leveled, even and flushed. THE INDOOR WINDOW PICTURES are Custom exteriors completed work at our home. The exterior pictures is from their poorly finished trim installation work the first time around. Nightmare. 4/29/26 Kevin did call to follow up. He did offer to send someone to fix the mess his company left behind. Unfortunately, his crew left stained finger prints in the wood in addition to staining the windows in a totally different stain shade than the one I requested. As I have not confidence in his company's abilities, he offered to cover the cost. I DECLINED HIS OFFER. This company knew all along what was happening in my home. I sent pictures, I begged for a REASONABLE detailed quote, I was willing to pay extra for something that should have been included in my quote. NO RESPONSE NO RESOLUTION. Until this review this company did not care. I keep the 1 star review and my integrity as I cannot reconcile all the 5 stars with the horrific work and customer service I received.
We had Roman, Benny, Tadeo and several other members of their crew come and fully replace all our windows in two days. A super solid crew of guys. We can't say enough about how impressed we are. All of them were kind, respectful of our home and really hard working. They did an amazing job of removing our old windows and adding the new ones with limited impact. Super clean job site all the way through the job. Contained dust/dirt, installed the ones without a scratch, managed city inspection with no worries and had the place spick and span, literally like it never happened...except I have awesome new windows and sliding door.
