I was first introduced to Gramajo Roofing this past spring through a carpenter who I worked with to get some wood repairs done to our 2-story 2150 sqft house on the border of the city of Sonoma. I had had interactions with a couple of local roofers over the past 3-4 years for getting a tune-up and for a leak repair. Overall I wasn't satisfied with the experiences I'd had with the other roofers, so I decided to evaluate other options. Once I met up with Isaias Gramajo, the founder and owner of the company, I knew that I had found the right person to work with to replace and upgrade our old roof. The job just finished after a crew of 6 worked tirelessly for 6 long days, and everything went extremely well. It's rare to see a crew operate with this level of synchronicity, like a perfectly well-oiled machine - it was surreal to watch. The roof was quite complex, with a total of 8 interwoven faces and a total roof area of around 2500 sqft. After some research and doing experiments with samples, we had decided to go with high-profile "designer" shingles that are a step up even from standard high-quality architecture asphalt shingles. They are a bit thicker and harder to work with, but they have better durability and we really liked the looks, and Gramajo was happy to support our choice. Also I had decided to add more insulation everywhere, as we have high vaulted ceilings in the large living room and master suite with a correspondingly high utility bill. The 4" extra roof thickness necessitated for all gutters to be moved up, one of which they replaced entirely as they found patched-up saw blade damages from the original install. The team also found a large amount of rotted plywood and even some rot in the trusses, due to venting issues and leaks in the old roof, and fixed all of it up before adding the new layers. Isaias is an excellent communicator who listens and remembers well, is open to any and all suggestions and constructively providing his own perspective and experience, and went the extra mile to accommodate all of my concerns and wishes. The responsiveness was also outstanding. The crew was on time day after day, they were all super nice guys with great personalities, worked through heat up to 95F, cleaned up after themselves, and everything turned out amazing. PS. As this was my first roof renovation, I had asked for some guidance from a neighbor who had worked in construction for over 4 decades. He too was very impressed with the project management, execution, and workmanship.
This is the roofing company to use. I had many estimates written but this contractor listened carefully to my concerns and requests for additional work including new down spouts, replacement of skylights, repair of rotted facia and upgraded materials. Where were no short cuts and no surprises. He asked questions and gave options. The jobsite was cleaned at the end of everyday, crew came on time and worked till dark. I was very very happy with this company. This was a touchdown type roof.
Gramaho Roofing installed new shingles and installed a silicone base on my Mansard roof. They did excellent work and saved me a considerable amount from other tear down roofers estimates. I highly recommend Isaias, the owner, and his crew. They were really experienced, professional, used quality materials, completed the work in a timely manner, and took good care of my property. Wonderful experience working in collaboration with Isaias from permit requests to completion!
This crew is amazing! They worked through some serious heat and still did a super job. I needed a completely new roof and new gutters and I got them. I'll go with a local owned team (hats off to Isaias!) every time – the large roofing companies can not come close to the work quality, speed, and price of a lean, mean, local machine! The Gramajo Team gets my highest recommendation.
