We approached contractors cautiously - the two jobs we had were relatively small and we weren't sure if a contractor would take them on - but we had a feeling they were too big for a typical handyman. Eli was willing to take a look and we immediately knew we had our person when he came out to see the job. Affable, kind, generous with his time, Eli explained things thoroughly, understood our intent, brought a ton of experience to the table, was conscientious of our budget, had good ideas about how to achieve what we wanted within that budget, presenting us with good, workable solutions. He was incredibly responsive to text and email, thorough and professional with his transparent estimates, and started and finished when he said he would. Once going, his crew was terrific. Professional, yes, but also impeccably clean and with an amazing attention to detail. Romero and Giovanni took great care in their craft and were just a pleasure to have in the house. Everyday the jobsite was left spotless, all the tools and materials neatly arranged in the garage at the end of the day, doors and gates locked. In the end, the work was finished exactly to our intent, the fit and finish of everything was top notch, and everything was done on time and on budget. So rare these days! The job is done, but we find ourselves looking for other opportunities to work with him. We'd go to Eli again in a heartbeat.
Eli (SRY Construction & Electric) was an amazing partner for a partial remodel of our home! I use the word "partner" because it always felt like Eli was engaged and looking out for us as if he was a member of our household. I never felt like Eli was trying to upsell his services and, in fact, he made several recommendations along the project that helped keep costs within our budget. Put simply, Eli cares about his clients and his level of service is A++. Everyone on his team is also wonderful - very respectful, keep a very clean work space, and they do wonderful work. Eli's construction team of Romero and Giovanni have renovated my bathroom and continue to renovate my laundry room and kitchen. Their work ethic for timeliness and cleanliness was excellent. Eli and his crew did an amazing job on our kitchen remodel. They transformed the world's ugliest kitchen into the beautiful, serene center of our home, a place where the whole family loves to gather. And they did so--shockingly--on time and on budget! I had been pushing off the project for months, dreading the stress and disruption. But Eli and his team, Romeo and Pedro, made the process surprisingly easy; every morning, without fail, they showed up on time and worked quietly (well, as quietly as one can while tearing down a supporting wall), skillfully, and efficiently. We were genuinely sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the project--my kids kept asking when Romeo and Pedro would come back to visit. The answer: As soon as we can afford another house project! Finally, I want to say that the whole crew was so friendly and patient with our kids. We have a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old, who were constantly wandering up to Romeo and Pedro, chattering at them and getting in their way. Romeo, in particular, treated both kids with gentle good humor, chatting back and calling them over to watch while he did interesting things like pour paint into buckets.
