Avoid at All Costs – Dishonest and Shoddy Work! I wish I could give zero stars. I hired this company to install a new roof, thinking I was making a solid investment. Big mistake. Everything seemed fine at first, but just two years in—right before the warranty conveniently ran out—I noticed leaking. I immediately called them, and the owner came out, gave it a quick glance, and assured me everything was “just fine.” Surprise, surprise—he was lying. Fast forward, and the leaks have only gotten worse. Now we’re stuck dealing with extensive water damage and the reality that we need a whole new roof because of their careless, shoddy work. What’s worse is that they refuse to stand behind their work. I trusted them, and they completely let me down. To make matters worse, we kept calling them to address the issue, and they just ignored us. Multiple calls, voicemails, and messages—nothing. Knowing full well that the warranty was only for two years, I still called him, willing to pay for repairs out of pocket, and he wouldn’t answer any of my many calls. They had no interest in making things right after they got their money. It’s obvious now that they offer a virtually nonexistent warranty for a reason—they know their work won’t hold up. Basically, they’re scammers who take your money and disappear when real problems arise. This company is a prime example of a contractor who cuts corners, dodges accountability, and leaves customers high and dry—literally. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. You’ll end up paying double like we are now.
Sunshine was amazing! They arrived at 8 AM with a true workforce and a sense of humor. The forecast was rain in the afternoon and they got the roof beautifully finished before then! They also worked around two issues to make sure we didn’t get held up. One out of three skylights came with the wrong flashing kit, but they were able to make one for us. They also offered to come back a second time to install the downspouts after my stucco is applied… Working up to the install day, Sunshine patiently updated our agreement as I changed my mind a couple times. I ended up getting shingles, but they gave me a really excellent price for standing seam metal. I recommend sunshine roofing highly! The roof looks beautiful. Even the flat portions match the shingle color and I can’t see any seams. Truly, a pleasure to work.
Sunshine Roofing did an EXCELLENT job on my home roof replacement. Julio and the entire crew were friendly, courteous, and kept me informed as the work progressed at a very productive pace. They repaired damaged material from a previous leak, removed and discarded a hot water solar system, provided valuable advice and installed O'Hagan vents, installed new downspouts and gutters with premier guards, and finished with meticulous cleanup. Significantly beat competitors on price, including permit acquisition and inspections. Without a doubt, Sunshine Roofing delivers great value and service.
Very disappointed to say the least. Julio came in to give me a free estimate after contacting them twice to request it. Never heard from him about the estimate. I tried to contact him several times before I gave up on him. I started contacting the company on June 1st. I sent a follow up email June 4,12,14. Sent a text message June 24 and last text was July 5th. Is this the kind of business you want to deal with?
